Real Parenthood is not a joke. It’s not a name “just being called momy or daddy”. It’s not just the fact of having a child. Instead parenthood is work, it’s values, it’s a very sacred task. Here are some ideas of what a real parent is, not in words but in deeds. Let’s dive through.

 

The primary responsibilities of parents includes;

3. Saving for children’s education
4. Ensuring family’s economic stability

  • In providing emotional support parents have to;

1. Listen and validate feelings of their children
2. Offer comfort and reassurance while encouraging and allowing open communication
3. Supporting partner’s each other’s emotional needs
4. Modeling healthy emotional expression

  • Parents also have to discipline and guide their children by;

1. Setting clear expectations and rules
2. Teaching life skills and values
3. Encouraging responsibility and independence
4. Modeling respectful communication
5. Providing constructive feedback

 Parents are role models to their children. Therefore, parents have to;

1. Demonstrate integrity and honesty
2. Model respectful relationships
3. Teach respect for authority
4. Encourage physical and mental well-being
5. Embody values and principles

  • Possess a good co-parenting relationship;

  1. Co-parenting with each other between both parents and Sharing childcare responsibilities.
  2. Collaborating on discipline and guidance.
  3. Supporting partner’s parenting style.
  4. Maintaining united front in parenting.
  • Parents have to participate in children’s community involvement activities by;

1. Participating in children’s activities
2. Volunteering in community or school
3. Building relationships with neighbors
4. Role-modeling social responsibility
5. Fostering community connections

Parents also helps children in their personal growth by helping them in;

1. Pursuing personal interests and hobbies
2. Continuing education and self-improvement
3. Maintaining physical and mental health
4. Setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care
5. Seeking support and resources when needed
