The increased Healthcare Workforce: The 4×4 Reform, approved in July 2023, aims to quadruple the existing number of healthcare professionals within four years to meet WHO recommendations.

There is also expanded Access to Health Facilities where the Ministry of Health has established 21 new health posts with upgraded services, with plans to scale up the program throughout the country. The goal is to reduce the average walking time to healthcare facilities from 47 minutes to 24 minutes. Here we can even mention the Community Health Worker (CHW) Program which is actively used to bring services closer to communities and empower them.

The Expanded Access to Health Facilities and  Community Health Worker (CHW) Program has even contributed to Improved Maternal Health where Maternal mortality rates have been declining, and access to maternal health services has been improve.

Rwanda’s current use of AI in supply chain management and drone delivery and spray of mosquito habitats.

Nejc Pahor, a researcher among them, and the Rwanda Cancer Center, which is employing targeted radiation therapy, was one of the more high-tech health care efforts.

In the field of Disease Prevention and Control, Rwanda has achieved progress in the prevention and control of diseases such as Malaria and tuberculosis with interventions like using Drones to spray mosquito breeding sites, strengthening laboratory services.

Emphasis on Essential Health Services – Ministry of Health is also placing high priority on essential health services – reproductive health, maternal and child health and prevention and control of infectious diseases.

National Strategy for Health Professionals: Rwanda has a national strategy for health professions development in order to ensure all the health professionals are qualified.

Therefore Rwandans and neighbors will benefit from this best health sector. The dream of Rwanda is to become a health tourism sector in Africa and the world. When you look back from where the country was in the past 30years, impossible is nothing to this Rwanda.
